How we handle your data
Plainly stated
Who is responsible
Soulthread Technologies Oy (Business ID 3620812-9), Myötätuulenmäki 3 B 19, 02330 Espoo, Finland, is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us by email, through the contact page.
What this website collects
Almost nothing. There are no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking pixels, and the fonts and scripts are served from our own server. Like any web server, ours records technical information such as the address a request came from and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Your country's edition
Our server looks up the country of your IP address in a list of address ranges it keeps itself: your address is not sent to anyone for this, and the country is not recorded. When you arrive at the international edition of this website from somewhere else, such as a search engine or an address you typed, the server sends you to the edition for your country if there is one; a page you open from one of our own pages is never redirected. On another country's edition, your browser asks our server for your country and, if we have an edition for it, invites you to it.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies. If you choose a language, or close the invitation to your country's site, that choice is remembered in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
When you write to us
Our contact form does not send anything to this website: it opens your own email app with your message ready. What you send us by email, such as your name, organization, contact details, and project, is used only to answer you, to follow up, and, if we work together, to carry out that work.
Legal basis
The server records and the country lookup rest on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and offering you the right edition of it. What you send us rests on taking the steps you ask for before a possible contract, on that contract if we sign one, and on our legitimate interest in answering you. Your language choice and a closed invitation are stored on your device at your request.
Who sees it
Only the people at Soulthread who handle your request, and the providers that run this website and our email for us, as far as their work requires. We never sell it, and we share it with anyone else only where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
As long as needed to answer you, follow up, and carry out any work that comes of it, and then as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, and object to our using it. Write to us by email, through the contact page, and we will answer promptly. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority: the one where you live or work, or the one in Finland, where we are established, the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuojavaltuutettu).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page.
