Who is responsible
Soulthread Technologies Oy (Business ID 3620812-9), Myötätuulenmäki 3 B 19, 02330 Espoo, Finland, is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us by email, through the contact page.
What this website collects
Almost nothing. There are no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking pixels, and the fonts and scripts are served from our own server. Like any web server, ours records technical information such as the address a request came from and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Suggesting your country's edition
This website has editions for several countries. Your browser first reads the time zone your device is set to: if it names a country we have an edition for, nothing is sent anywhere. If it does not, your browser asks an IP geolocation service which country your connection comes from, so we can suggest that country's edition, and that service sees your IP address as any website would. Only the country is kept, in your browser, until you close the tab. Once you have closed the suggestion bar, none of this happens again.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies. If you choose a language, or close the suggestion of another country's site, that choice is remembered in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
When you write to us
Our contact form does not send anything to this website: it opens your own email app with your message ready. What you send us by email, such as your name, organization, contact details, and project, is used only to answer you, to follow up, and, if we work together, to carry out that work.
Legal basis
The server records and the country lookup rest on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and offering you the right edition of it. What you send us rests on taking the steps you ask for before a possible contract, on that contract if we sign one, and on our legitimate interest in answering you. Your language choice and a closed suggestion bar are stored on your device at your request.
Who sees it
Only the people at Soulthread who handle your request, and the providers that run this website and our email for us, as far as their work requires. We never sell it, and we share it with anyone else only where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
As long as needed to answer you, follow up, and carry out any work that comes of it, and then as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, and object to our using it. Write to us by email, through the contact page, and we will answer promptly. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority: the one where you live or work, or the one in Finland, where we are established, the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuojavaltuutettu).

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page.
